Erik David BOYES – Assault With Weapon

(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Saturday, August 10, 2013 at approximately 4:40 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault on Grey Rd. 12, just west of Meaford, in the Municipality of Meaford.

An altercation between two motorists, who are known to each other, resulted in one man striking the other with a hammer. The 18 year old victim was transported to the Meaford Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

At 5:07 p.m., police arrested the accused at his Meaford residence.

Erik David BOYES, 28, was charged with Assault with a Weapon under the Criminal Code. He is schedule to appear in court in Owen Sound on August 22, 2013.
