(ORILLIA, ON) – On April 12, 2014, at approximately 11:40 p.m., the Orillia OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) were dispatched to a complaint involving a male party who was assaulted and stabbed.
Officers attended a Cumberland Beach address and spoke with the male victim who advised that he had been in an altercation on Gill Street in Orillia. The victim advised that he had been assaulted and stabbed by a known male. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers executed a warrant at a Gill Street address and arrested a male party.
Eric WIGGINS, age 28 of Orillia has been charged with Aggravated Assault. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
