(TINY TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 20, 2015 at 5:26 p.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of an impaired driver on Balm Beach Road in Tiny Township. The involved motor vehicle had struck a road sign and a ditch but continued driving.
The involved Motor vehicle was located and stopped by officers. Further investigation found that the male driver was under the influence of alcohol. The 2011 grey Dodge Ram pick-up truck was towed and impounded for 7 days. The driver’s license of the accused has been suspended for 90 days.
Eric Thomas GEORGE (age 21) from Tay Township has been charged with:
– Driving While Ability Impaired
– Over 80 mgs
The accused is to appear in The Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on July 30, 2015
The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
