Eric DUPUIS (25 yrs) of St-Philippe Street in Alfred and the driver, a 36 year old Hawkesbury man, have both been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for the following offences:
– 249.1(1) Flight while Pursued by Peace Officer
– 348(1)(b) Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
– 351(1) Possession Break In Instruments
– 354(1)(a) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada
The driver is also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for section 249(1) Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle and under the Highway Traffic Act with section 53(1) for Driving while under suspension.
Dupuis was later released and is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court on December 18th.
Police are still looking for the driver at the time of the release.
