(Goderich, ON) On July 27, 2010 a Huron OPP officer was contacted by a Detective Sergeant from the Longueil, Quebec police service. The officer indicated that their force had been investigating a male from Montreal who was implicated in a similar scam of a victim in Ottawa. The Montreal male was arrested and while a search was conducted, evidence was located to connect the male to the fraud from Goderich. As a result of their ongoing investigation Eric BEDARD (26) has been charged with two counts of Fraud, one being for the Goderich victim. At this time, no funds have been recovered.
