The Owen Sound Police Service has a requirement for a Police Constable.
All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for a police officer as identified in the Ontario Police Services Act. In addition, they must possess a valid Ontario driver’s licence, and have no criminal convictions.
Applicants must also possess a valid OACP Constable Selection System certificate to be considered for an interview. Those selected, for an interview, will be required to attend Owen Sound at their own expense. Accommodations for applicants with disabilities are available, upon request, in relation to materials or processes to be used throughout the hiring process.
The successful candidate will be subject to a comprehensive background check, and must hold a valid First Aid certificate before attending the recruit training course. The successful candidate must be available to attend the recruit constable training course at the Ontario Police College for either the September 2015 or January 2016 intake.
