(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Friday October 30, 2015, shortly before 10 a.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting traffic enforcement in the village of Gads Hill using a radar gun. The officer observed a fast moving Volkswagen car travelling southbound on Perth Road 119 enter into the 50 km/h zone.
The speed of the Volkswagen was locked in at 115 km/h in the 50 km/h zone.
The Volkswagen was pulled over and the female driver, 58 year-old Elizabeth BUCZEK of Toronto was issued a summons for “race a motor vehicle”, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. She is to appear at Stratford Court on November 24, 2015, to answer to this charge.
The Volkswagen Golf she was operating was towed from the scene and has been impounded for a period of seven days. The driver also had her driving privileges suspended for a week.
