Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating an early morning break and enter which occurred at a residence on Plank Road in the area of Arthur Street, Municipality of Bayham.
The break and enter occurred around 5:09 a.m. when police received a report from the homeowner that someone had entered the residence. Prior to police arrival the suspect fled the scene and police containment was set up in the area. As a result of the investigation police arrested one male suspect without incident shortly before 10 a.m.
OPP K9 Unit was utilized during the incident as well as the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit who remain on scene assisting with the investigation.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
