(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Friday January 18, 2013 at approximately 3:20 a.m. Perth County OPP officers in Listowel observed a man operating an e-bike on Elizabeth St. North. The male was known to be prohibited from driving as a result of criminal code driving offences.
Samuel MCLEAN (51) of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with two counts of drive disqualified, and with fail to comply with undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing on Monday January 21, 2013.
Operators of E-bikes are reminded that if they have a driving prohibition order related to a conviction under the Criminal Code of Canada, they cannot legally operate an e-bike.
