(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a male early Sunday morning in relation to a break and enter at a business in Collingwood.
At approximately 5:15am on May 15 2016, officers were alerted to a break and enter in progress at the West Side Diner located on Keith Avenue in Collingwood. The caller reported that he observed a male running from the scene and attempted to chase him but lost sight of the suspect. OPP officers arrived on scene and began patrols of the area which led to the male being located and, following a foot pursuit; he was taken into custody and transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 32 year-old Dustin ROSE of Collingwood, he is facing charges of Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence and Fail to comply with conditions of undertaking. The male was held for bail and is set to appear today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.
