(City of Ottawa, ON) – Officers from the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have concluded the investigation of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 417 near the intersection with Holly Acres Road that happened at 12.33 pm Tuesday 25th August 2015.
Investigation revealed that the box unit of a large dump truck traveling east bound on Hwy 417 struck an overhead directional sign and then the Hwy 416 overpass bridge. The dump truck rolled over into the median.
The driver, Timmy DUMOUCHEL (22 years old) of Quebec is charged with:
One (1) Count of Careless Driving Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
