(DUFFERIN COUNTY, ON) – Dufferin OPP were kept busy over the the Victoria Day Holiday weekend with several incidents.
On May 20, 2016 at 2:36 pm Dufferin OPP were conducting speed enforcement at Airport road and Highway 89 in Town of Mono when they stopped a vehicle travelling at 150 km in a posted 80 km zone. The 21 year old Toronto male was charged with Stunt Driving. He had his 2016 Dodge Pickup and driver’s license impounded for 7 days.
At 7: 36 pm on Highway 10 and County Road 10 in Town of Mono police stopped a 21 year old male from Mono and charged him with suspended driving.
At 12:42 am on May 21, 2016 Police issued a 3 day suspension as result of a RIDE check point on Prince of Wales Road in Mulmur Township
At 1052 am on May 21, 2016 police charged a suspended driver at RIDE checkpoint in the Village of Honeywood within Mulmur Township
On 21st of May 2016 at 8:07 pm police charged a 21 year old male with Stunt driving and seized his vehicle and driver’s license for 7 days.
On May 22, 2016 on the 2nd line of Amaranth near 20th side road police charged Douglas MILLER, 22 year of age of Mississauga with Impaired driving, drive over 80 and Assault with Intent to resist arrest. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was towed.
May 22, 2016 at 9:54 pm on Airport Road police clocked a vehicle at 137 km in 80 kms per hour zone. Driver charged with stunt driving. Vehicle and driver’s license seized for 7 days
On May 23,2016 police stopped a 31 year old male from Brampton was clocked at 156 km in an 80 km zone on Airport road near 25th side road in Mono. Driver charged with stunt driving. His vehicle and drivers license were impounded for 7 days.
On May 23, 2016 at 9:08 pm police stopped a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta on Highway 9 between Highway 9 and Rolling Hills drive. A 56 year old Rose TROZZI of Brampton was charged with Drive Motor Vehicle over 80 mgs of alcohol. Her license was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was towed.
