(Goulais Township, ON) – On November 8, 2014 at approximately 9:50 pm officers on patrol from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment stopped a vehicle heading southbound on Highway 17 north near the Mile Hill.
The driver exhibited signs of alcohol consumption.
As a result of further police investigation, 46 year old Duarte DeSOUSA of Thunder Bay, Ontario was arrested and charged with one count of Driving a Motor Vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on December 8, 2014.
