(PORT HOPE, ON) – On Friday December 19, 2014 at about 12:50 am a Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting speed enforcement on County Road 2 at Wesleyville Road in the Municipality of Port Hope when he observed a northbound vehicle stop on Wesleyville Road and turn west on to County Road 2. The officer followed the vehicle for some distance before stopping it to check on the sobriety of the driver.
The officer determined that the male driver of a black 2004 Acura TSX had consumed alcohol. He was given a road side screen device test and taken to Cobourg OPP detachment for further breath tests.
Duane D. MCMURRAY, 30 from Port Hope, Ontario has been charged with one count of care and control motor vehicle – over 80 mgs. The accused was released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 9:30 am in Cobourg.
