Last evening at approximately 7:30 pm, Police were called to an address on Semenyn Street, Chatham with regards to a break enter in progress. Upon Police arrival, a man was immediately taken into custody. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect attended the victims door and kicked it, causing approximately $500.00 damage. The man, who was in an intoxicated state was also unknown to the victim.
As a result, a 31 year old Chatham man was arrested and charged with Mischief (damaging the victims property). During the course of the investigation the Officer discovered that the man has no fixed address and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
