(RED LAKE, ON) – On August 15, 2015, officers from the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 125 in the Municipality of Red Lake. Upon speaking with the driver, officers determined she had been consuming alcohol. A roadside test was conducted, which resulted in a fail. As a result, the driver was arrested and returned to Red Lake Detachment for further tests.
Shirley TURTLE, age 40, of Pikangikum, has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive over 80 Milligrams contrary to Section 253 (a) and (b) of the Criminal Code. She is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 1, 2015 to answer to the charges.
