(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) On Saturday August 3, 2013 at approximately 7:19pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a motor vehicle collision on Side Road 20 North, near Concession 4 in Puslinch Township. A 1998 Jeep Wrangler left the roadway and struck a hydro pole. The investigation revealed that the male driver had consumed alcohol. All 4 occupants in the vehicle were taken to Guelph General Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Pushlich Fire and Rescue, Hydro One assisted with the scene.
Shant SHARMA aged 19 of Guelph is charged with Impaired Driving Cause Bodily Harm x3, and Over 80 Cause Bodily Harm x3 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was also served with a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the 7 day vehicle impoundment.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on September 20, 2013 to answer to the charge.
