(BRANT COUNTY, ON) -Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol came upon a male operating an e-bike on Willow Street in Paris in the County of Brant at approximately 7:30 p.m. on 15 August 2017.
OPP investigators initiated contact with the male operator. Police arrested the male after discovering that he was intoxicated by alcohol.
Police have charged 21-year-old Richard BROOKS of the County of Brant, Ontario with the following charges under the Criminal Code of Canada:
Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
