BRANT COUNTY, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to Highway #403 in the County of Brant in response to a E-Bike being driven east bound in the west bound lanes at approximately 6:00 p.m. on 27 July 2015.
OPP investigators located the E-bike on Oak Park Road and initiated contact with the male operator. Police arrested the male after discovering that he was intoxicated by alcohol.
Police have charged 52-year-old BANSAL, Jaspal of Brantford, Ontario with the following charges under the Criminal Code of Canada:
Driving with ability impaired by alcohol
Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood
Dangerous driving
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
