(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment has charged a 57 year old male with a drinking and driving offence at a Highway #6, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Friday July 10th, 2015 at approximately 7:40 pm Police were called to a single motor vehicle collision at a Hwy #6 and Fourth Line Road address.
Investigation revealed that a black 2001 Lincoln was travelling along Hwy #6 when it left the road and entered a field. The lone driver was examined by Haldimand County Paramedics and was found not to be injured. While Police were speaking with the driver signs of alcohol consumption were detected which lead to his arrest.
Charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with over the legal limit of alcohol is 57 year old Glenn SMITH of Haldimand County, ON. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date.
