Police received a report of a vehicle leaving the downtown at a high rate of speed at approximately 2:20am. The vehicle was located at Bradford and Tiffin Street by police at which time the driver was arrested for impaired driving. The vehicle hit a hydro pole and sheared off a fire hydrant on Bradford Street. The 19 year old G2 driver was transported to the Barrie Police Service where he blew over 1.5 times the legal limit. The male was charged with impaired driving, over 80 and fail to remain at the scene of an accident.
