(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – On July 10, 2016, at approximately 7:42 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 33000 block of Richmond Street, where a male, operating a John Deere utility vehicle, struck a curb, fell off, and sustained minor injuries.
Officers determined the 37-year-old male driver, had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing, after receiving medical attention from emergency medical services (EMS) who attended the scene.
As a result of the police investigation, Mark HEFFERNAN, from Lucan Biddulph, Ontario, has been charged with care or control over 80 mgs, driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and take motor vehicle without consent, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on August 30, 2016.
