(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – On October 29, 2016, at approximately 12:48 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to an erratic driver travelling northbound on Mitchell Line.
Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop of the silver GMC pickup truck, which was towing a trailer. It was determined that the 55-year-old male driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening device was administered, and the driver registered a “fail”. He was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for further breath testing.
As a result of the police investigation, William LOVIE, from London, Ontario, has been charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charge in a London court on December 7, 2016.
