At approximately 4:25pm a citizen reported an erratic driver entering the city limits on 16th Street East.
The vehicle was subsequently located travelling to an eastside residence by police.
The driver failed a roadside test and was arrested for driving over the legal limit.
The male was transported to the Owen Sound Police Station where he provided two samples of his breath which exceeded twice the legal limit.
A 53 year old Owen Sound man was subsequently charged with driving over 80 and having a G2 driver’s licence with a blood alcohol concentration above zero. The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Owen Sound Court on the 22nd of January.
