(Selwyn Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Curve Lake Road yesterday just before 6:30pm. A member of the public called 911 to report a possible impaired driver. The car was stopped, investigated and found to have been drinking.
Kimble Gerald SMITH (age 48) of Richmond Hill, ON has been charged with the following offences:
Impaired driving
Driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood
G2 driver drive with more than 0mg blood alcohol concentration
The accused is currently before the courts on similar charges in York Region and as a result was held in custody of a show cause hearing scheduled for today.
