At approximately 2:00am on Sunday morning an officer on general patrol investigated a motorist on Lakeshore Drive for a Highway Traffic Act infraction. After determining that the driver had been drinking the officer administered a roadside breath test. The driver failed and was arrested for drive over 80mgs. The 32 year old Barrie resident was taken to the station where he provided two further breath samples of 160mgs. He was charged accordingly with impaired care/control, drive over 80mgs and drive under suspension. The accused will be released by way of a promise to appear.
