Drugs Seized At Traffic Stops

(South Dundas) – On March 11, 2015 at approximately 8:03pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle on County Road 18, South Dundas Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

The male driver, Joseph TURNER (27) and passenger Jordan TURNER (23), both from South Dundas Township were arrested and each charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

Both were released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on May 12, 2015.

Joseph is further charged with;

– Speeding (Highway Traffic Act)

– Drive Without Proper Headlights (Highway Traffic Act)

– Driving Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor (Liquor Licence Act)

(South Stormont) – On March 11, 2015 at approximately 9:45pm, SD&G OPP officers intercepted a vehicle on Dickinson Drive, South Stormont Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cannabis resin, hydromorphone tablets and a fentanyl patch.

The male driver, Quentin KEARNS (20) of South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (3 counts)

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 5, 2015.

DISQUALIFIED DRIVER

(North Dundas) – On March 11, 2015 at approximately 7:17pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on York Street in the Village of Winchester, North Dundas Township. A check of the female driver revealed her driving privileges were disqualified and suspended stemming from previous incidents.

Kie Freedom WOUTERS (42) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving While Disqualified

– Driving While Under Suspension (Highway Traffic Act)

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on May 12, 2015.
