(South Glengarry) – On May 21, 2015 at approximately 5:42pm, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Project Paradigm intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected cocaine and currency.
The male driver, Jean-Marie LACOMBE (53) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 14, 2015.
(South Stormont) – On May 21, 2015 at approximately 9:34pm, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Project Paradigm intercepted a vehicle on Mille Roches Road, South Stormont Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected cocaine and fentanyl. Further information revealed that the accused was in contravention of several conditions imposed from previous incidents.
The male driver, Federico BELMONTE (44) of South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
– Fail to Comply with a Recognizance (6 counts)
– Breach of Recognizance (3 counts)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
