On Thursday September 25, 2014, Special Constables from the Owen Sound Police Service were conducting security checks at the front entrance to the Ontario Court of Justice building at 611 9th Avenue East. While the officers were conducting the checks, they had occasion to locate a small baggy of what is believed to be cocaine in the property of a female entering the court. The female was taken into custody and held for bail court. Jennifer King, 41 years of Hanover was charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. King was later released on her recognizance to attend court on October 30th.
