(ESSA TOWNSHIP)- On the 24th of July, 2014, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit, executed a Warrant to Search at a residence located on County Road 21, Essa Township.
James Higgins, age 53, has been charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled substance (marihuana and hashish) and two counts of Possession of Property obtained by crime (An all-terrain vehicle and a snowmobile).
Kurtis Wright, age 25, has been charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana and hashish).
Total value of seized items is estimated at $9,425.00. This is an ongoing investigation and further charges may be laid in relation to this case.
This is the second seizure of drugs in the Nottawasaga Detachment area this week.
