On March 13, 2014 members of the Waterloo Regional Police Criminal Intelligence Branch, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Unit, executed a search warrant at a Kitchener residence. The search warrant was a part of an investigation of a male who was trafficking controlled substances in the Region of Waterloo. As a result of the search warrant two Kitchener males were arrested for drug related offences. A 62 year old male was charged with two counts of Trafficking, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession Proceeds of Crime. He was held for a bail hearing. Also arrested was a 29 year old male who was also charged with drug related offences. He was subsequently released to answer for his charges at a future court date. A quantity of cocaine and marihuana were seized from the two males. Also seized were two motor vehicles.
