(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) – On July 19, 2014 at approximately 4:23 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a 1998 Dodge pickup for a traffic violation on Wellington Road 6 near Wellington Road 109, Wellington North Township. During the investigation, the officer located suspected marihuana and marihuana plants. The items were seized and the owner/passenger of the vehicle was arrested.
James VAN DAM age 26 of North Perth has been charged with Possession of Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 22, 2014 to answer to the charge.
