(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 12, 2014 at approximately 10:15 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in the Town of Fergus. Police observed a 1998 Dodge and initiated a traffic stop was on Garafraxa Street, Fergus. During the investigation, the officer observed and seized suspected marihuana and suspected methamphetamine.

David SCHOFIELD age 38 of Mapleton Township has been charged with Possession of Marihuana under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 19, 2014 to answer to the charges.
