(NEW TECUMSETH)- On the 22nd of July, 2014, members of the Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Nottawasaga OPP executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrants in Tottenham. One was at a business known as 49er Convenience and the second at an attached residence.
As a result of the search, one 56 year old male was arrested and charged with three (3) counts of “Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking†a schedule 1 drug, this included fentanyl, percocet’s and oxycodone. Two (2) counts of “Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule drug and Possession of Property obtained by crime, under $5000.00.
During the search police seized the following. Over 400 percocet pills, over 60 oxycodone pills, 13 fentanyl patches, a half-pound of marihuana, 7 grams of cannabis resin and over $1000.00 currency.
Street value of the drugs seized is estimated at over $800.00. Charged is Elias Mitri of Tottenham.
