(BLANDFORD BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP, ON.) – Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a structure fire at 65 Albert Street West in Plattsville on December 26, 2014. An OPP investigation revealed a suspected marihuana drug growing operation inside the building.
On December 27, 2014 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – West Drug Enforcement Unit and Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) with the assistance of the Oxford County OPP, executed a search warrant at the Albert Street business.
The warrant led to the seizure of a quantity of cannabis marihuana plants and processed cannabis marihuana.
On January 12, 2015, OPP arrested and charged one male as a result of this investigation.
Charged with the following is, 28 year old Brandon PFEIFFER of Cambridge:
Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana
Produce a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana
He was held for a bail hearing, and is scheduled to appear in Woodstock Court on the January 14, 2015.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshal.
