Drug Possession Charges Laid

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Two males have been charged with drug possession charges following a traffic stop on Airport Line near Crediton Road. Shortly after 2:00 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a Ford F-150 pickup truck for a suspected traffic violation. After smelling the strong odour of marihuana officers noticed illegal drugs in plain view. Upon searching the vehicle an additional quantity of suspected cannabis marihuana and cannabis resin were located. Both the driver and passenger were arrested.

The driver, Timothy KISH, 21, from South Huron has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cannabis Marihuana contrary to Schedule II Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Passenger, Chad LESPERANCE, 23, from South Huron has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cannabis Resin contrary to Schedule II Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Both males have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on October 24, 2013.
