Drug Charges At RIDE

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On June 5, 2015, members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) on 69 Highway in the Township of Archipelago. At approximately 10:05 a.m., police approached a northbound car and observed an open can of beer on the floor behind the driver seat. Police investigation and a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of marihuana and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, Ginger PILLSWORTH, 43 years of age from Dalton Township was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance – under 30 grams as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).

The passenger, Jonathon CALIC, 30 years of age from Woodstock was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance – under 30 grams as per the CDSA.

Both accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on July 9, 2015 to answer to their charges.
