(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On March 13, 2014 at approximately
11:49 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Highway 6 South near College Avenue, Guelph.
Officers spoke with a male driving a 2006 Volkswagen and an odour of marihuana was detected coming from the inside of the vehicle. Marihuana was seized and the driver was arrested.
Philip DUFOUR-HASTINGS age 23 of Guelph has be charged with Possession of Marihuana – Under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on April 22, 2014 to answer to the charge.
