(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 18, 2016 at approximately 10:10 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) conducted a R.I.D.E. program at Wellington Road 32 and Townline Road, Puslinch Township.
While at the R.I.D.E. officers spoke with the male driver of a 2001 Chevrolet and detected the strong odour of freshly burnt marihuana. Police located and seized a substantial quantity of marihuana. He was arrested released with a court date at the scene.
59-year-old Steven FRY has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Over 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 3, 2016.
