(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit, West Region Emergency Response Unit, and West Region K9 Unit executed 3 Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrants on November 25th, 2014 at 2 private residences and 1 business. 2 properties located on Plank Road and 1 property located on Glen Erie Line, Municipality of Bayham.
The search warrants resulted in police seizing the following;
Hydromorphone pills
Oxycodone pills
Morphine pills
Crystal Methamphetamine
Codeine pills
Cocaine
The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $8300.00.
Police also seized drug paraphernalia associated with the trafficking of Controlled Substances, Surveillance Equipment, and Canadian currency.
Police have arrested and charged the following people;
Richard Christopher Aaron MORRELL, age 38 of Municipality of Bayham has been charged with;
Six Counts (6) of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the Purposes of Trafficking under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA)
Fail to Comply with Recognizance under the Criminal Code of Canada
MORRELL was arrested without incident and is currently being held in custody with a court appearance scheduled on December 1st, 2014.
Timothy Yvan LEGAULT, age 45 of Vienna, ON has been charged with;
Six Counts (6) of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the Purposes of Trafficking under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA)
LEGAULT was arrested without incident and is currently being held in custody with a court appearance scheduled on December 2nd, 2014.
