(WIARTON, ON) – On Thursday, August 11, 2016, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Bruce Peninsula OPP, West Region Emergency Response Team, and West Region Canine Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on Dawson Street, Wiarton, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant police seized methamphetamine, cannabis marihuana, nabilone, and clonazepam. Police also seized offence related property that consisted of $500.00 cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia. The combined estimated value of the seized controlled substances was $2,775.00.
Todd CRAIG, age 42, and Kristen CRUICKSHANK, age 32, of South Bruce Peninsula are each charged with possession of methamphetamine and marihuana for the purposes of trafficking, production of marihuana, and possession of nabilone.
Both were released on a Promise to Appear with Officer in Charge Undertaking and required to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice on September 22, 2016.
