Drug Bust In Quinte West

(QUINTE WEST, ON) On Friday, January 9, 2016 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Belleville Police Drug Unit and members of the Quinte West OPP executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Search Warrants at residences in the City of Quinte West.

A residence on Victoria St., located drugs, cash and a loaded firearm. Chris TAYLOR, 22 and Tasha CASSIBO, 22 are charged with:

possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine,

production of marihuana,

possession of marihuana,

possession of property obtained by crime,

possession of loaded prohibited firearm, and

careless storage of a firearm.

A third male is currently outstanding.

Police seized approximately $10,000 in drugs, Canadian currency and offence related property.

A residence on West St. located drugs and cash. John CASSIBO, 43 and 45 year old Corey GRAY are charged with:

possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine,

possession for the purpose of trafficking in a schedule 1 substance,

possession for the purpose of trafficking in marihuana,

possession of property obtained by crime.

Police seized approximately $1500 worth of drugs, Canadian currency and offence related property.

All charged persons were released from custody on a Promise to Appear inthe Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville in February 2016.
