Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit working jointly with the St Thomas Police Drug Enforcement Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on February 16th, 2016 at a private residence located on William Street in Port Stanley, Central Elgin.
As a result of the joint investigation culminating in the search, police seized a quantity of Hydromorphone pills, marihuana and marihuana resin. The approximate street value of the seized controlled substances is estimated at $1700. A prohibited weapon was also located and seized during the search.
Police have charged two adults in connection with the seizures.
Kees BEARDSLEY, age 24 of Port Stanley ON has been charged with;
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code.
BEARDSLEY is scheduled to appear in St. Thomas Criminal Court on March 14th, 2016 by way of a summons.
Chantale KEIP, age 22 of Port Stanley ON has been charged with;
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
