(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 30 year old female from Bluewater will have to attend court for drug trafficking charges after she was arrested this past weekend in Hensall. At approximately 12:40 a.m. on April 12, 2015 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police officer spotted a female leaving a residence located on Nelson Street. The female was wanted on outstanding warrants so the officer kept a close eye as she entered into the back seat of a taxi cab. As the taxi was heading eastbound on London Road, the officer stopped the cab and the female was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrants.
Upon searching the female’s carry bag officers located suspected methamphetamine, hydromorphone pills and morphine pills. In addition, officers seized various items of drug paraphernalia.
As a result, 30 year old Mary LAPOINTE, from Bluewater has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Hydromorphone, Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking- Morphine, Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Methamphetamine and five counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Officer. She remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on April 14, 2014.
