(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On June 23, 2016, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine, Grey County Property Crimes Unit, and Grey County OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on Argyle Street, in Grey Highlands.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized methamphetamine, heroin, oxycodone, psilocybin, tapentadol, nabalone, codeine, and cannabis resin. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances was $10,400.00.
Police also seized offence related property that consisted of trafficking paraphernalia, cash, prohibited weapons, ammunition, and numerous items of stolen property.
Thirty-eight-year old Christopher SANDERSON of Grey Highlands was charged with 4 counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, 4 counts of possession of controlled substances, 2 counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, 8 counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00 and 3 counts of possession of prohibited weapons.
Twenty-year-old Katelyn RILL of Grey Highlands was charged with 4 counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, 4 counts of possession of controlled substances, 2 counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and 8 counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00.
Fifty-eight-year-old Denise Simon of Grey Highlands was charged with 4 counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking, 4 counts of possession of controlled substances, 2 counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and 8 counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.00.
All 3 were held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing.
