(CENTRE WELLIGNTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 18, 2015 at approximately 4:57a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Crime Unit (SCU), uniform patrol officers, OPP Incident Command, West Region Canine Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence on Watt Street, Fergus, Centre Wellington Township.
Two males were arrested without incident at the home. Approximately 130 marijuana plants at various stages of growth, hash, hash oil, currency along with items associated with drug trafficking and growing equipment were seized.
Donald VAN ZEYL age 33 of Fergus is charged with;
Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking under 3 kg- C.D.S.A. X 3
Produce Marijuana-C.D.S.A.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Bail Court on March 19, 2015.
Michael DAVIS age 22 of Fergus is charged with;
Possession of Marijuana over 30 grams-C.D.S.A.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal court on May 5, 2015 to answer the charge.
