Drug Arrest

On April 9, 2014 at 1:20 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle in the area of the Hanlon Expressway and College Avenue. Upon stopping the vehicle, police observed a quantity of drugs visible in the vehicle and the driver was subsequently arrested.
A search of the vehicle was conducted by the Canine unit and revealed further drugs to be hidden in the vehicle. In total, 154 MDMA capsules were seized. The drugs have an estimated street value of $3,080.

Matthew ALTOMARE, 22 years of Toronto has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. He will appear in court on May 20, 2014.
