(SOUTH HURON, ON) – An Easter Weekend fundraiser for the Special Olympics Program is set to take place on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Hansen’s Independent Grocer Supermarket located on Thames Road East in Exeter. This Saturday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. volunteers with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario will be collecting spare change donations from the public as they enter into the parking lot.
Funds collected from the fundraiser will directly support the Special Olympics program and our local Special Olympians.
“Year after year our community members have generously donated to the various Special Olympics fundraisers held throughout Huron County. The voluntary road toll is certainly our number one fundraiser in terms of money raised so please stop by this Saturday and donate what you can.
