Driver Found After Abandoned Rolled Vehicle Located

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is investigating a fail to remain collision at an Indiana Road West, Hagersville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at approximately 11:06 p.m., OPP and Haldimand County Paramedics were called to investigate a single motor vehicle collision after a vehicle left the roadway, rolling onto its roof and coming to rest in a soya bean field.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel, the driver of the vehicle could not be located. The Canine Services Unit and members from the Emergency Response Team (ERT) were contacted to assist in searching the area after investigators found evidence indicating that the driver of the vehicle sustained injuries. Officers searched the area with negative results.

As a result of investigation, police were able to locate the 31-year-old diver of Hamilton, Ontario several hours later. The driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.
