(Douro Dummer Township, ON) – On Wednesday November 13, at approximately 8:45 p.m. members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on Television Road.
Upon attending the scene officers discovered that a vehicle had struck a hydro pole and knocked wires down. The driver had fled the scene leaving behind a passenger who had been injured in the collision.
The 25 year old male passenger was treated for injuries at the scene by Para Medics then taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for injuries sustained in the collision.
OPP Canine Unit attended the scene in an attempt to locate the driver of the vehicle.
The investigation is still on going and no charges have been laid at this time.
